This is ancient archaeological remains of the Anuradhapura kingdom (from 377 B.C. to 1017 AD) These are remains of the religious buildings which were built by the kings for Buddhist monks centuries ago. Now the remains of the complex of buildings covered by the jungle.even thought this ancient city demonstrates the technology that they had during centuries ago. All the buildings were made by the stones. They were properly sharped and cut as cloths. That is amazing to see the city made by stones which lasts centuries.
