14th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Altered Images
A leaf after rain - inverted

The raindrops on this leaf were interesting, and helped to magnify the individual cells. The vein pattern and hairs were also visible in the image, but the hook was missing. The color inversion helps to draw the viewer in to note the details of the leaf structure. Even the background macadam looks interesting.
