I became transfixed with this image while walking along the coast in Ogonquit, Maine with my wife and two small children. I stopped, determined to capture this image, as my family kept walking. The day was overcast with heavy, humid air lying over the water. Both the Fisherman and single sailboat filled me with both a sense of loneliness and respect for the rugged individualist of Northern New England.
