He is a security guard on a construction site nearby my home in Riyadh. He sleeps on the concrete floor by night and by day he sits on this chair - his precious volume of the Q'uran has its own chair too. He showers at the nearby mosque and relies on food handouts to survive. I have photographed him many times and he still will not look me in the eye. I am envious of his faith. We are neighbours and we are friends.
