22nd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
A mountain goat stands on the fall tundra as snowflakes fall around it.
The tundra turns beautiful shades of red and orange in late summer and the coats of the mountain goats are thick in preparation for winter. The light falling snow was a nice added touch.
