13th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest The American Experience
A naturalized American citizen and two friends view the One World Trade Center, New York City, while standing at the North Pool of Ground Zero.
I took my naturalized American wife and her British cousins to see Ground Zero on their first trip to NYC. After visiting the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, we stood at the North pool, on the site of the original towers, and looked up at the new One World Trade Center tower, soaring 1776 feet into the air.
