Pictured is a Sulawesi Crested Black Macaque, a critically endangered monkey. It is perched in a zoo where it has been rehomed amongst others. It was a magical moment when it turned it's head and made eye contact with me. It's habitat is at risk due to deforestation and land clearing, and I felt so much empathy for those few seconds of contact.
