It was my first day in New York City, as part of my summer holiday with my family and the bustling nature of it immediately captivated me. When I saw this NYPD police woman controlling traffic on the 34th street I was extremely fascinated by this image, as in Europe you barely ever see anything like this, so I took a couple of pictures hoping to capture the dichotomy between the chaotic nature of the city and the controlled and authoritative demeanor of the traffic lady.
