I had gotten a notification about the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) being potentially active in my area, so we packed the camera gear, some snacks and headed for darker skies. Before we got to where we were headed, we decided to stop on the side of a back country road to admire the intensity of the skies above. I had never seen them dance and pulse like that before in my entire life. I decided to have my partner sit on the car to give a sense of scale and show just how full of color the sky was!
