Giraffes spend most of their entire lives standing up. In fact, they even sleep and give birth while standing. However, here is a rare photo of a healthy giraffe that is "sited". I was really attracted by the fact that on this rare occasion, and with the aid of green bushes, the giraffe appears in an artistic way, as if the head is planted on the ground. The relaxed mode of this giraffe is an enough indication of how "home" it feels at the Giraffe Center's nature garden, not worried about predators. In the jungle, and especially for a young giraffe, this position would easily make it escape some of its predators who may have spotted it from far if it was standing. Let's make our giraffes feel home, let's conserve their natural habitats. Location: Giraffe Center Date: 30/08/2018
