A playful california sea lion pup darts our of a sand cloud it had stirred up.
Cedros island off of Baja California (Mexico) in the Pacific Ocean has only 150 inhabitants and thousands of California sea lions. Pups usually stay near the shore where the adults can watch over them and predators are few, but they are too curious to resist getting close to divers and playing with them. Here, a pup darts out of a sand cloud it had stirred up while playing in it with his mates.
