This is a portrait of my niece who represents Generation Y; a young woman adult millennial who is well educated, financially secure, and involved in the cultural and societal shifts, including ethnic diversity occurring in American society today. Seeing her stand on top of a park jersey barrier with proud stature in broad daylight clearly revealed (to me) her womanism and strong new generational beliefs.
