Unti is a now 21 and a mother of two daughters. Her village is in Kampung Sungai Kejar, a community belonging to the indigenous Jahai tribe in Royal Belum Rainforest Reserve.⁣ ⁣ Like other Jahai women, Unti is tasked with the usual household chores, collecting firewood and freshwater supply, while her 20 year old husband is employed with a local tour outfit.⁣ ⁣ I requested for her portrait and she came complete with earrings and used lipstick to make her cheeks rosier.
