In the Islamic Art museum in Doha (which showcases Islamic art from the last 1,500 years), I saw a traditionally-dressed Arab man checking his phone in a beautiful foyer. I was struck by the contrast between tradition (the location, background, and his attire), with modernity (the plastic chair, phone, his glasses)
