18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Mobile
A railway bridge over the river Damodar in Bengal, India.
Aiming to capture the railway bridge against a cloud scudded sky. A throwback to childhood memories of watching trains trundling by, taking flight again. I waited for the train to arrive. As the double engined behemoth whistled and grumbled into the frame a flock of pigeons took flight and I got my shot.
