Scotland is known for its rain and its wind. Houses in the 'New Town' area with its Georgian architecture are made of dark sandstone. You will see green moss where the sunlight does not reach. Wet cobble stone streets reflect the light. Scots are brave at going out at all weather, but on a rainy and windy night like this, I find it more attractive to stay in my cosy hotel room, observing the outside and capturing the ambiance with my camera.
