I visited Ilulissat in western Greenland in late summer as part of a photography tour. In addition to pristine icebergs and frozen landscapes, we were able to photograph breaching humpback whales, and lots of birds. Some of the other highlights of the trip were a hike to the Ilulissat icefjord (where we were able to fly our drones), visits to settlements and the delicious local cuisine. We would position a red sailboat against an iceberg or interesting landscape, and this was one of my favorite pictures. Because this picture was taken in the evening, on an overcast day, and on a boat in the water, I had to use a high shutter speed and ISO.
