16th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
A red squirrel

The squirrel came to me itself. That occured in a park. People tend to leave pine seeds there to maintain local squirrel population. I did not have the seeds but fortunately I had my camera. The squirrel did not change its silver winter fur completely, so there were the grey spots on the red summer fur
