A Restful Day on the Gokgyocheon River

Every year thousands of waterfowl migrate south from Siberia through Mongolia and China to South Korea. Colorful Northern Shoveler ducks are one of these species and they winter all over South Korea; the Gokgyocheon River outside of Asan is just one of their wintering spots. This group (one female and three males) were soaking up winter sunshine and leisurely stretching out travel weary wing muscles.
