A Rose on Omaha Beach

On Omaha Beach, there is an artistic memorial to commemorate the men who died there during the D-Day landing. Many visitors leave roses around the memorial and across the beach, but this one stood alone at the edge of a tide pool. The way it reflected back on the water felt as if it represented something more than just a rose. What exactly I am not sure, but when you feel something like that you know it is worth remembering.
