20th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
A Rose (Rosa) in my back garden in the Cotswolds
I took this picture because of the beautiful colours of the rose and the patterns it gives with the bud in the background as an added bonus. It was perfect as a vertical format and the lighting was soft.
