The 1000 year old village of Ste Agnes is made up of cobbled ruelle and ancient wooden and stone arches. It is a beautiful little village in the South of France. I know the village well. It is full of history and the story goes that whilst the Sarrasins were busy invading this region of France the chief Haroum fell in love with a local girl named Anna. She became his wife and peace was restored. The little ruelle where I stayed was named after her rue Anna Haroum.
