A large part of the tribal people in Purulia, India are Sabar who were primarily hunter gatherers and traditionally forest-dwelling. They still gather and hunt. A part of their hunt includes rice filed rats which they catch in indigenous traps. The trap is set with ripe tomatoes in the rice fields and children mostly do the rice field trap huntings.
