18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Altered Images
A Self Portrait
I was working on a project for master artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. I was inspired by his use of color and graphics. I wanted to create a self-portrait. Which was something, I never did before. I thought the image of myself would look nice with pops of color because it was in black and white originally.
