A Socotra Cormorant grasping a freshly captured fish in its bill like a prize catch before gulping it down.

A Socotra Cormorant (Phalacrocorax nigrogularis) dives into the Khalid Lagoon in Sharjah and emerges with a silvery fish, which it displays for a few seconds like a silver medal before eating it almost alive in a few quick gulps.
