Eating outside during a pandemic in the middle of summer in Houston, TX means there's not a reprieve from the heat. In spite of the heat, I enjoyed a dinner and rich conversation with a friend's son who was temporarily living in Houston before returning to college. The particular place was an outdoor setting with a garden. It was a refreshing place where herbs and other things are grown. At the end of the meal, I excused myself to get up and look around a bit. These pink flowers stood out to me and after I photographed them, I thought, "I want to enter a photo contest!" because I realized I had a real love for capturing creation.
