Today is the 10th of September 2018, a sunny afternoon in Accra, Ghana and I find myself stuck in a traffic jam as I try to get to my office. I have always wanted to capture a squeegee guy in action and today happened to be my lucky day. He walked right up to my windscreen and started doing his own thing unsolicitedly. He made quick yet meticulous swipes that amazed me. I couldn’t help but grab a frame from these graceful movements. I fell in love with the attitude of this guy as he walked calmly to my window after he was done and gave me a soft smile, unlike other squeegee guys who give the “I am entitled to” face. I handed him a 10 Ghana Cedi Note (approx. USD2) which he gladly accepted.
