The serenity of the scene allowed me to set up two backlighting flashes, mount the camera on a tripod, and carefully frame the shot to capture the symmetry of the encounter. Finally, I waited for the moment when the evening glow wrapped the scene, revealing the beauty of a species that is often ignored.
