I was on vacation to Jasper National Park with a friend in June. We had stopped to photograph eagles and when we turned around, we noticed this sun dog. I have seen sun dogs in the winter but had not seen one in the summer. We drove to Maligne Lake and capture the sun dog over the water and mountains.
