A sunrise on the Mars of Earth
This is a quiet sunrise observed from the artist's point in Monument Valley. It looks really like a sunrise on Mars with the red rocks colored into warmer red by the first sunlight of the day, until you notice that there is a Navajo ranch below. These Native Americans have lived their traditional way for hundreds of years before the modern movie industry turns this place into "Mars".
