13th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
A sunset on Ventura Beach.
I was visiting the beach with my grandmother for the first time since I moved to the United States last fall. It was my first time taking a trip to the beach with her, as well as my first opportunity to photograph the ocean. It was gorgeous!
