I was travelling the east coast of Australia with two friends in a campervan. One of our stops was Noosa. We explored the city and walked in the Noosa National Park right before sunset. When I looked through the trees to the beach and the ocean I captured this moment. The surfer looked at the ocean like he was saying goodbye to the waves for now, enjoying the beauty of this nature and promising to come back soon. The beach, the waves, the light, everything seemed perfect to me. This is one of my favorite pictures from our trip because it symbolizes the Australian way of life for me.
