Surfing is part of daily life in Hawaii. It's a sport enjoyed by young and old, locals and visitors, amateurs and pros. I swam out to one of my favorite breaks with my camera inside a water housing and waited for the perfect moment to kick into the wave and photograph this local surfer just as the wave begins to curl.
