19th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
A Symphony of Lights
The picture was taken on 18 May 2020 during the lockdown of Kuala Lumpur. There was a thunderstorm approaching and I quickly set up my tripod and camera, hoping to capture the storm and some lightning shots. There were almost 45 minutes of lightning in the sky before the rain came. It was quite rare.
