The Tenggerese are a small Hindu minority that leave in the Muslim dominated island of Java. Centuries ago they fled to the crater filled region of East Java to avoid persecution. The Tenggerese are renowned horsemen, a skill they practice in the shadow of the frequently erupting Mount Bromo.
