The Kedarkantha trek is one which gives a range of experience to the trekker. One interesting aspect of it is trekking at night. It's advisable to start the summit push at midnight, in order to reach the peak before sunrise, which is a spectacular view. We started at 1 a.m and it was a scary and exciting experience at the same time. At this spot, we all switched off our head-torches to watch the starry sky without disturbance. I spotted the milky way and requested my trek guide to pose for a photo.
