20th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World

As always, when I saw reports of heavy fog on Mt. Laguna, I jumped in my car with cameras. The fog would clear for a few seconds in certain areas. I liked the stark pines isolated by the fog, and flanked by the other, ghostly trees.
