I shot this hollyhock in early November during a meditative walk through the gorgeous Inspiration Garden in Independence, Oregon. Having recently moved from a spectacular forested landscape, I was worried I would find this new town lackluster in comparison. But, on this sunny day, I was pleasantly surprised to discover the garden I know will provide me with endless hours of photographic bliss in the coming months and years.
