Acadia National Park received a huge influx of visitors in 2021, as Americans dusted off travel plans put on hold due to the pandemic. I was one of them, seeing Acadia for the first time. This was the view from atop Cadillac mountain, the highest point along the eastern seaboard. Two people sat small against the backdrop of clouds rolling past Bar Harbor in the distance.
