I took the rare opportunity to climb to the top of Grey's Monument in Newcastle upon Tyne. The views from the top are spectacular. I particularly liked the new 'green' areas of the city, encouraging people to sit down and relax, which I wanted to highlight in my photograph. In addition I wanted to capture the beautiful view of two streets from the top, Grey Street and Grainger Street.
