Just after driving over Logan Pass in Glacier National Park heading west, we approached a mountain side covered with beautiful wildflowers. Looking out over the steep valley below, the mountains across loomed before us. It was a hot July day yet some of the remaining snow can still be seen slinging onto the north slopes of the mountains.
