A view of the Gurudongmar Lake situated at a height of 18,000 feet

Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest lake in the world and can be accessed through a motorable road. It is situated near Indo-Tibet border in North Sikkim. It is also believed to be very sacred by religious cults like Sikhs, Buddhists etc. The lake is surrounded by snow capped mountains and the water remain frozen from November to May every year allowing people to walk and play over it.
