18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Altered Images
Takeoff
I was walking around a lake in a local park when I saw this hawk perched on a tree limb. The minute I started shooting it took off. I just continued shooting and captured this moment of takeoff as the hawk was flying off from the tree.
