On this afternoon, I was riding the ferry from Sibulan to Santander, on my way to get some medicine for our puppy who contracted a fatal parvovirus. I was observing the sea and sky. The sea was calm but the sky was darkening in the distance - a duality that describes my worries: A sense of relief that we had finally acquired some medicine from a vet from the neighboring island, and worry whether our puppy would survive despite receiving the medicine.
