The photo is showing a western scrub jay sitting on a tree branch with clustered samaras. It was a rather rainy day but I was glad that there is enough light to capture this picture. It was really difficult to catch where the bird is going. I took numerous picture in a half hour interval, and finally had this photo sorted out as my favorite.
