A Wild Burro of Beatty

Before traveling through Beatty, Nevada I had done some research on the sights. One of them was the group of wild burros that pass through town from time to time. As we were leaving, I looked over and saw the group walking through. I grabbed my camera getting down on one knee thinking I could get a passing shot of the group. To my surprise they surrounded me like I was a quarterback getting ready to call out a play. One rested its head on my shoulder for a pet of its neck. Another licked my knee and this one that is pictured was resting his head on the back of another giving me a look, perfect for a portrait shot.
