This photo is the view of New York City from a window of the U.N. at sunset. During my junior year, my high school amnesty international club went to tour the U.N. We had been touring the U.N. all day and I was incredibly impressed the whole city and all of its built elements as well as the human accomplishments there. However, the juxtaposition here of the natural world (the sunset) and the built world (the buildings) is really incredible. I am an urban studies and environmental science major so that contrast is very key to my passions!
