A yellow tree in the Rocky Mountains National Park
We went to the Rockies that day in the fall for two main reasons--admire the golden aspens and watch the elk. Unfortunately, it was a little late to see the aspens in their full glory, as many trees had already lost the leaves. One of the very few beauties remaining stood alone revealing its golden treasure in the rays of the setting sun.
