A young "devil"
Every year, in Maramures's old capital, Sighetu-Marmatiei, is held a winter festival where hundreds of people from different places are performing old customs and traditions. The "devils", like the one from image, are the most spectacular. Their main role is to remember the Nativity but also they like to scare children and young ladies, shaking their head and body covered with heavy cowbells.
