A young Japanese macaque swims across a geothermal pool in the Japanese mountains
Japanese macaques in near the village of Yudanaka have developed a habit for hanging out and swimming in the natural geothermal pools high in the mountains. This young monkey was clearly still learning to swim and appeared to be struggling to cross the deeper sections of the pool.
